What is Model Arab League?
Model Arab League is a student leadership development program from the National Council on US-Arab Relations.
Each year, the U students in Model Arab League represent one of the Arab League's 22 member-states, and student delegates work to achieve consensus on questions with which real-life diplomats wrestle daily.
Students write, debate, and pass resolutions that seek to resolve some of the Arab countries' most difficult challenges. Students learn about the politics and history of the Arab world, and the arts of diplomacy and public speech. MAL helps prepare students to be well-trained, knowledgeable, and effective citizens as well as civic and public affairs leaders. Universities and high schools from across the United States are invited to participate.
